Part B Drug Payment Model Recording

Now Available

On Friday, March 25, IPN hosted a Webinar on CMS' Part B Drug Payment Model and the effects this experiment may have on your practice. You can access a recording of the entire event HERE.

As you know, it is absolutely essential that all providers, patients, and office personnel speak out against this proposal to ensure that specialty patients do not experience any interruptions or changes in therapy.

Advocacy

  • CMS has allowed for a 60 day comment period on the Part B Drug Payment Model. Please take advantage of this comment period by voicing your concerns over the demonstration on the CMS website at: https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2016/03/11/2016-05459/medicare-program-part-b-drug-payment-model

  • Get your practice involved. Through Community Counts, ION and IPN have created a webpage from which you can easily send a letter to your local legislators urging them to ask CMS to halt the demonstration. The form letter is already written, and you can send as is, or edit as you see fit. Letters also exist for your patients and your staff. Visit http://communitycountsadvocacy.org/actionalerts.aspx to register and contact your lawmakers.

  • The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) has created a number of resources to educate staff, patients, and their families about the dangers of the Part B Drug Payment Model. Many of these materials can be used across all specialties. Access these materials, and reach out to legislators by email or phone by visiting www.cancerexperiment.org.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with you to ensure that care remains in the community and that the physician / patient relationship remains intact.
